Play-based physical therapy in the Portland, Oregon metro area that meets you where life happens—at home, outdoors, and in your community.
Welcome to a new approach to physical therapy — where we look beyond milestone checklists and one-size-fits-all expectations. I'm so glad that you're here!
We focus on your goals, celebrate your strengths, and find meaningful ways to help you move, play, and participate.
Short-term, focused therapy with more frequent sessions to help you work toward specific goals, build skills, and create meaningful progress in the places that matter most.
Ongoing physical therapy tailored to your strengths, needs, and goals. We use movement, play, and connection to support confidence and participation in daily life.
We provide support with adaptive equipment, mobility, accessibility, and daily routines to help you participate in what matters most. We also offer Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) to support school success.
At PT Katie Play, we provide expert-led, evidence-based physical therapy care and ensure deep collaboration with your entire healthcare team.
We are here to help humans of any age smash their biggest unique goals, while providing the absolute confidence to keep working towards your dreams on your own.
We dream of building a bright, welcoming, and inclusive world where every single human can fly, zoom, and reach their own highest physical potential through pure joy and play.
We are growing a close community where children and adults of all ages and abilities can connect, support each other, and know that they have a welcoming space where they truly belong.
We grow together
We believe growth happens through connection. We work alongside you, your family, and your community to create support that fits your life.
Your voice matters
We take time to understand your strengths, goals, needs, and experiences. We believe the best care starts with listening.
Every human belongs
We celebrate the unique ways people move, learn, communicate, and experience the world. We create spaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported.
Your strengths shine
You are the expert in your own life. We help you discover your strengths, build confidence, and pursue the goals that are meaningful to you.
Hi, I’m Katie!
I am a Physical Therapist (PT), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), a Board-Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist (PCS), and a Dog Mom (DM).
I started PT Katie Play because I believe therapy works best when it fits into your real life — not just a clinic space with a table, some bubbles, and a few “fun” exercises that somehow become a little less fun after the third repetition. 😉
I bring over 8 years of specialized training and expertise, but the most important part of my work is listening.
I partner with humans of all ages to understand their goals, celebrate their strengths, and find meaningful ways to move through life with confidence, connection, and joy.
The “You did it!” moments — the smiles, cheers, hugs, and happy dances along the way.

😂 Dad jokes and alliteration
Every person is unique, so every therapy plan should be too. My toolbox is full of strategies, ideas, and creative ways to support your goals — because the best therapy tool is often the one that works for you (and sometimes it’s something you already have at home!). 😉
